impressive debut ep from new duo bearweasel are a new production duo, consisting of dean muhsin and louisa page. with a remix already out on perc trax they debut with this superb ep for audioflys new label. opening track >monkier< is brilliant. combining a touch of latin percussion with swollen basslines and brilliant horn stabs scattered througout its one of my favourite tracks of recent months. second track >drummer< is just as good � its wonky techhouse with a funky bassline and small-but-effective breakdown. remix of >monkier< comes from my favourite hamburg-based croatian, solomun. his version takes it deeper, with a lazier attitude but a warm vibe. a quality debut and a duo to watch out for in 2008.
